The requirement
Pharmaceutical and biotechnology work is the sector MAP Filters was built around, and it drives most of what we manufacture. The requirement here runs in two directions at once: the product has to be protected from the environment, and the operator has to be protected from the product.
That dual requirement is why a pharmaceutical facility needs more than a clean room. It needs equipment at every point where a person or a material crosses a cleanliness boundary, and it needs each of those pieces to hold its specification consistently rather than only at validation.
Containment at the point of handling
Powder handling, weighing and sampling generate airborne particulate that is both a cross-contamination risk and an operator exposure risk. Dispensing and sampling booths contain it at source with downflow HEPA filtered air.
Controlled transitions
Every door and hatch is a potential breach. Air showers, interlocked pass boxes and garment cubicles control how people and materials move between classified areas.
Final filtration that holds
H13 and H14 HEPA filtration establishes the room's class. Gel seal terminal filters remove the bypass leakage that otherwise defeats a correctly specified filter.
