About Absolute HEPA
HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. To qualify as HEPA, a filter must remove 99.97% of particles greater than or equal to 0.3 micron. These are suitable for use as filter grades H13 and H14 of EN1822 and for ISO Class 5 operation as per ISO 14644.
This is the filter that determines whether a room holds its cleanliness class. Semiconductor manufacturing, biotechnology and aerospace work depends on it to maintain particle free and sterile conditions, and hospitals and cleanrooms depend on it to prevent airborne infection spreading.
