About Pre Filter
A pre filter is the first line of defence in a filtration train. It captures larger particles such as dust, pollen, dander and lint before they reach the HVAC system.
Its real economic value is downstream: by removing the coarse load, a washable pre filter extends the life of the more expensive filters behind it and cuts maintenance cost. That is why the cheapest stage is usually the one worth specifying carefully.
