About Air Shower
An air shower sits at the partition between clean and non-clean areas and supplies HEPA filtered air at high velocity to remove particulate matter from personnel and materials before they enter. It is partial-clean equipment: it does not replace gowning, it stops gowned people carrying dust in with them.
Units use an automatic sensor system so the cycle runs without being operated, which both makes the process consistent and limits energy use. Construction is stainless steel for cleaning and durability.
- Single Door Air Shower (2 Way), for facilities with limited space and moderate personnel traffic
- Double Door Air Shower (2 Way), for larger operations with high personnel traffic in both directions
What it does
Contamination control
High efficiency HEPA filters remove dust and particulate from personnel and materials before entry, so the room's own filtration is not doing that work.
Personnel protection
Particles and fibres are removed from clothing and body, which protects the people working in the controlled area as well as the room itself.
Interlocked doors
Electromagnetic interlocking prevents both doors being open at once, so the shower never becomes an open path into the cleanroom.
