About LAF for operation theatres
In an operation theatre, laminar flow creates a controlled airflow that prevents airborne contaminants entering the surgical field during a procedure.
Unidirectional airflow maintains a sterile field over the table, which reduces the risk of infection and lets the surgical team work without managing the environment as well as the patient. The systems are built to cleanliness standards appropriate to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
